Orientation Day

The Department of Management Studies organized Orientation Day Programme on 22nd August, 2019. The inaugural session begun with the welcome of the students, their parents, dignitaries, faculty members and Chief Guest of the event, Honorable Chairman, Mr. H.S. Bansal, the Director General of the Institute, Prof (Dr.) T. Duhan, and Dean (Academics), Prof. (Dr.) Neeraj Sharma, who graced the occasion with their presence. It was followed by lamp lighting ceremony and Saraswati vandana.

Next, a brief description of the Institute, highlighting the vision, history and reputation of the college along with recent achievements was presented by Dr. Priyanka Girdhar. The event was followed by a discussion on miscellaneous affairs of the Institute namely financial and scholarships by Prof (Dr.) Neeraj Sharma, Dean of the Institute. The Director General of the Institute, Prof (Dr.) T. Duhan addressed the audience with his talk on “Motivation”. Leadership and team building games were also organized for the students. Cultural programme featuring various performances by different groups was arranged on the occasion.

DIGITAL MARKETING WORKSHOP

Going with the current trend of a paradigm shift from the traditional marketing to the digital marketing, the Department of Management studies organized one day workshop on digital marketing on 3rd Sep, 2019 for BBA students. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Mukteesh and Mr. Jitesh from Mapping Skills. The session introduced the students with the current industrial trends sharing with them the careers and scope related to the digital media.

The workshop started with the importance of digital marketing in the current industry. At first, participants were asked to use Google classroom software and to share the links using the software. In this session, they were mainly focusing on website development and how to create their own websites. Then all of them were indulged into making the presentation on digital marketing strategies using different modes and mediums. The workshop proved to be very beneficial to all the participants in terms of learning and gaining a new experience of the digital world.

After attending the workshop, the students were well equipped with the knowledge of writing effective and engaging content to persuade their audience. They also understood the uniqueness of different social media platforms and their uniqueness. The participants were also confident about content marketing and digital marketing. The attendees provided very positive feedback on the workshop conducted and also asked to conduct many more such workshops for their knowledge up gradation and skill enhancement

FRESHER’S PARTY- RUBAROO

“Fresher’s Party” in any college is an event which every student eagerly awaits from their time of admission. 29th September 2019 was as a memorable day in the life of every fresher of BBA batch 2019-22 at HIMT campus. The fresher’s day was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness. The dress code for the fresher’s day was “dress your best”.

The celebration started with Saraswati pooja and lamp lightening by the Dignitaries followed by the welcome speech given by Honorable Chairman and the freshers were formally welcomed into the HIMT Family.

The event encompassed various activities like singing, dancing, skit, fashion show, talent search to name a few. The winners of Mr. and Ms. Fresher were Deepak Shukla and Manvi Bhardwaj, respectively.

DIWALI MELA

Diwali is the festival of lights which is celebrated in various regions across India. The name ‘Deepavali’ literally means an ‘array of lights’. The Department of Management had a celebration in HIMT on 24th October 2019 and the faculties explained the importance of Diwali, the festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. Students decorated the college with colors and glitter. The students, faculties along with the management of the Institute enjoyed Diwali celebrations wholeheartedly.

ONE DAY INDUSTRIAL VISIT AT COKE

One day industrial visit to Coco cola, Delhi was organized by the Department of Management on 11th February 2020 for BBA 1st and 3rd year students. The objective was to provide students with an insight of internal working of Coco Cola and opportunity to learn practically through interaction regarding the manufacturing of the drink. The visit was very useful for the students as they could now relate their theoretical knowledge with the practical exposure. It was a good learning experience for the students.

TECHNO SERVE YOUTH EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS TRAINING PROGRAM

An awareness session on Youth Employability Skills was organized on 12th Feb 2020 for BBA Students by the Department of Management. The session was conducted by Miss Disha Misha from the Training & Placement Cell of the Techno Serve. The motive of the session was to create awareness among the students regarding the realities of the industry; the serious skills gap & shortage found in the industry, which were evident through various surveys & statistics. Information was disseminated regarding the industry specific soft skills that the ever competitive industry demands and how acquiring these skills are crucial for professional as well as personal development.

ONE DAY INDUSTRIAL VISIT AT PEPSICO

The Department of Management organized one day industrial visit to PEPSICO, Delhi on 19th February 2020 for BBA 2nd year students. The students observed various stages for the production and finally ended their visit by having a look and understanding of the functioning of the manufacturing units. It was a good learning experience for the students.

“CONNECT WITH WORK” A COMMUNICATION & EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS TRAINING PROGRAM IN ASSOCIATION WITH BARCLAYS

One week workshop on communication & employability skills was organized on 20th Feb, 2020 for the students of Management at HIMT for developing and inculcating soft skills among them. The workshop aimed at motivating the students to become forbearers of soft skills and was conducted by Miss Srishti Rawat.

SPORTS DAY

The much awaited Sports Day was held on 2nd March 2020, with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way. Once the event began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. The various events included carom, race, kho kho, volleyball and Basketball. The Awards and the overall Champion trophy was awarded by Honorable Chairman Sir.
